The Kooks unveiled the upcoming album release date, but you need to be patient some more time. Listen will be out on September 1st, with Luke Pritchard stating: "To me this album is about pure expression." Also, listen to The Kooks' new single Around Town inside.

The Kooks unveiled the upcoming album release date, but you need to be patient some more time. Listen will be out on September 1^st, with Luke Pritchard stating: "To me this album is about pure expression."

In March, the South Coast troupe debuted Down single, a track that once released also revealed their new direction in music. "With this record we didn’t do any rehearsing beforehand," Pritchard said in a statement. "I'd write a song with Inflo or on my own, put it up and we’d all play over it. There was a real freedom to the process."

Meanwhile, a new single has popped out called Around Town, which you may listen in here.

The band released their third album Junk Of The Heart in 2011. It was the follow up to 2008's Konk and their 2006 debut Inside In/Inside Out.
