While Smith Westerns' upcoming summer LP Soft Will is due June 25th, the band has recently revealed he second single off the album titled "Idol". The song is really special, as we could listen to Cullen Omori's moody lyrics about an idealized friend ("I wish I could see your dark side") which perfectly compliment his band’s dreamy, shimmery soundscape. Over the course of three records, they've absolutely perfected a kind of nostalgic guitar pop that sounds on the verge of dissolving like old film. Classic sound? No more!
