Shawn Mendes just dropped a gem track from his sophomore album Illuminate, called Three Empty Words. Shawn thinks it is one of the most "meaningful" songs in his new album.

Mendes opts for an acoustic sound as he laments over fading love. "We’re going through the motions 'cause we can’t fix what’s broken/ And I know it’s gonna hurt/ But darling I’ll go first/ Cause I won’t keep on saying those three empty words," he croons over a poignant guitar-driven melody.
