Sam Smith is a big winner at Oscars for Bond-theme song

Sam Smith and Jimmy Napes won the award for Best Original Song for their Spectre-theme song, Writing's on the Wall. They beat other big titles in the competition, such as: Manta Ray, Earned it (Fifty Shades Of Grey), Simple Song #3, Til It Happens To You.

Sam Smith's and Jimmy Napes' Writing's On the Wall, the Bond-movie theme song is one of the winners from last night's Academy Awards ceremony. The song was nominated for Best Original Song at the 88th Academy Awards and won it, beating other big titles in the competition, such as: Manta Ray, Earned it (Fifty Shades Of Grey), Simple Song #3, Til It Happens To You.

2016 Oscars performances included the winner, Sam Smith, alongside Lady Gaga and The Weeknd. Sam delivered a great performance, while when he was announced stand up in tears. "I stand here tonight as a proud gay man and I hope we can all stand together as equals one day," the Grammy winner said in his speech as he dedicated the award to the LGBT community. "Thank you so much."
