The 2025 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles will honor music excellence while raising funds for California wildfire relief, showcasing resilience and unity.

Resilience Takes Center Stage

The 2025 Grammy Awards are set to take place as scheduled on February 2 in Los Angeles, despite the devastating wildfires that have wreaked havoc across Southern California. The catastrophic fires have claimed over two dozen lives and destroyed thousands of acres of property, leaving many wondering about the fate of the music industry's biggest night. However, a joint statement released by Recording Academy and MusiCares CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and board of trustees chair Tammy Hurt has confirmed the show will go on.

"Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. This city is our home, and we mourn the loss of life and destruction that have come to it in recent days," the statement reads. "In close coordination with local authorities to ensure public safety and responsible use of area resources, the 67th Grammy Awards telecast on CBS on Feb. 2 will proceed as planned."

A Stage for Resilience and Relief

This year’s ceremony will not only celebrate musical achievements but also serve a greater purpose. The platform will be used to raise funds for wildfire relief efforts and honor the courage of first responders.

"This year’s show will carry a renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours," the statement continues. "In challenging times, music has the power to heal, comfort, and unite like nothing else. The Grammys will not only honor the artistry and achievements of our music community but also amplify the spirit of resilience that defines this great city of Los Angeles."

The Recording Academy and MusiCares have already pledged $1 million to aid music professionals and have launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort to support those affected by the fires.
