I Don't Know You Anymore perfectly displays Mould’s catchy pop-punk sensibility. He uses a standard song structure of verse-chrous-verse-chrous-bridge before wailing a brief solo, all just two seconds shy of three minutes. Power chords soar as Mould sings: Pushing record when I wanted to play / The message is clear, how you push me away.
Beauty & Ruin will feature drummer Jon Wurster (Superchunk, Mountain Goats) and Jason Narducy (Split Single, Verbow).
