SOUNDGARDEN singer Chris Cornell has announced his solo album since June, but recently revealed all the details about it, and also shared its first single Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart.

Chris’ upcoming album is titled Higher Truth, it is arriving September 18^th via Universal Music Enterprise, while the deluxe version (which contains four bonus tracks) of the album is available to pre-order now.

Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart tells us a story about a love which is so bad that it leads to so much hurt, but at the same time he can’t live without it.

Cornell will be embarking on a North American solo acoustic tour in support of the album. The 30-plus date trek kicks off Sept. 17 in Phoenix, Ariz., and wraps up Nov. 2 in Austin, Texas.
