BLACKPINK’s JISOO partners with Warner Records for her solo career. Her debut mini album, AMORTAGE, drops Feb. 14, 2024. Get the latest details here!
JISOO, a global K-pop sensation and member of BLACKPINK, has officially signed a solo deal with Warner Records. The news follows her decision in December 2023 to manage her independent music career under her own label, BLISSO, while remaining with YG Entertainment for group activities.
JISOO’s solo journey takes off with the release of her debut mini album, AMORTAGE, set to drop on February 14, 2024. Fans first got a glimpse of the project when she unveiled the album title and details to her 79 million Instagram followers on January 26.
“I’m excited about this new era and the continuation of my musical journey,” JISOO said in a statement. “This is just the beginning, and I’m thrilled to kick off this seismic moment with Warner Records.”
Aaron Bay-Schuck, CEO/co-chairman of Warner Records, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration:
“There is no question that JISOO is one of the biggest stars in the world, and we have no doubt that her solo career will be even more impactful. The energy, passion, and artistry JISOO brings to her music is on another level.”
Before AMORTAGE, JISOO made waves with her 2023 singles FLOWER and All Eyes on Me, with FLOWER debuting at No. 2 on Billboard’s Global 200. As part of BLACKPINK, she’s contributed to nine Billboard Hot 100 hits, including Ice Cream (feat. Selena Gomez), which peaked at No. 13.
BLACKPINK itself has set historic milestones, becoming the first Korean act to headline Coachella in 2023 and one of only three South Korean artists to top the Billboard 200 with Born Pink.
JISOO isn’t just focused on music—she’s also making strides in acting. She has confirmed roles in three upcoming projects: Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint (2025), Newtopia, and Monthly House Boyfriend on Coupang Play.
With her Warner Records partnership and AMORTAGE on the horizon, JISOO’s solo era is set to be one of the most anticipated in K-pop.
