Sightseer is the new single off Nation of Language's new album, "Strange Disciple" that arrives September 15 via PIAS. The follow-up to 2021's "A Way Forward" is their first that wasn't recorded during the pandemic. It was produced by Nick Millhiser (of Holy Ghost!). Sightseer Song Lyrics added here.
I could wander out like a sightseeing
Did you say to me, child, there's an answer you need?
And if all I ever get is a reticent heart
I'd be falling madly in love
So that's it, see, see, my selfish needs
Sightseer Song Lyrics continue below:
Maybe I'll have the feelings on my own
You can get what you want, experiences I'm told
Maybe I'll have the feelings on my own
You can get what you want, another kind of love
I'd be shifting parts of a new sleep
You say to me, child, what about all I see?
Talking to myself,
I'm in the river of breath
Come on, kill me please
Maybe I'll have the feelings on my own
You can get what you want, experiences on the way home
Maybe I'll have the feelings on my own
You can get what you want, another kind of love (another kind of love)
And I come too late tonight
All I do is work & moan
Bet I could fix it, but that is between you & I
And I could be what you want
Before I start fighting myself
But we're (?)
But when the clock goes round,
I feel in the night
I feel it, feel it, feel it
Before the clock goes round, I feel in the night
Before the clock goes round, I feel in the night
